Blue Planet II - Our Blue Planet

In Our Blue Planet, David Attenborough examines the impact our modern lives are having on the ocean. Devoted albatross parents, unwittingly feeding their chicks plastic; dolphins exposing their new-born calves to pollutants through their contaminated milk; even man-made noise drowning out animals communicating. Despite these devastating impacts, this film contains an inspiring message of hope; 50 years ago Norwegian Whales and Orca gather together for the feast. In the Caribbean a community is working to save giant leatherback by protecting the eggs and animals they once took as food. Finally the film explores the changes in the ocean that will require a global effort including unprecedented coral bleaching and the predicted sea level rise that could impact the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world.
